Last year at our Blue Plate Special Cafe Harvest Market and Awards Lunch on November 19, 2012, we celebrated the extraordinary work of four Houstonians.

Chaired by Heidi & Marcus Smith, the 2012 luncheon honored Farmer and Owner of Home Sweet Farm, Brad Stufflebeam with the 2nd Annual Mayor's Award: RFS Champion of Food Justice.

We also presented the third annual Blue Plate Special Award to our Chef of the Year, Peter Garcia, chef/owner of El Meson.  Golden Whisk Awards to Jamie Goins, Teacher of the Year and Aileen Zarin, Volunteer of the Year.  See the photos from this special day HERE.
