Last year at our Blue Plate Special Cafe Harvest Market and Awards Lunch on November 22, 2011, we celebrated the extraordinary work of four Houstonians.
Chaired by Karen & Roland Garcia, the 2011 luncheon honored H-E-B President, Scott McClelland with the inaugural Mayor's Award: RFS Champion of Food Justice.
We also presented the second annual Blue Plate Special Award to our Chef of the Year to Randy Evans, chef/owner of Haven. Golden Whisk Awards to Myra Stuart, Teacher of the Year and Eileen Hatcher, Volunteer of the Year. See the photos from this special day HERE.
