Deborah Duncan has been at the forefront of radio, broadcast news and talk shows that have relied on her versatility, quick-wittedness and being in tune with what viewers want to know.  Currently, Deborah hosts "Great Day Houston," a morning talk show produced locally by KHOU-TV that airs weekdays at 9:00 a.m. on Channel 11.

When you look at how Deborah grew up, it is no surprise that she ended up in the communications business.  Raised in a military family, Deborah attended five different elementary schools.  At each school, Deborah honed her interviewing skills by learning everything about her "new friends."  In high school, her drama teacher urged Deborah to reconsider going into medicine and instead pursue broadcasting.  Deborah enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin and ultimately earned a degree in Radio-Television-Film.

While her career began with radio, Deborah's foray into television news has included jobs at KEYE-TV and KVUE-TV in Austin, WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth and most recently KHOU-TV.  She has also made great strides in the talk show genre.  Prior to Great Day Houston, Deborah hosted WFAA's "Good Morning Texas," "Our Home" with Lifetime Television and the "Debra Duncan Show" with ABC.  Deborah is the recipient of many local and national awards for television excellence in addition to recognition for community service.
