76468-small.jpgAward-winning chef and known as Houston's "foodie caterer", Barbara believes in bringing a restaurant-quality culinary experience to catered events. She is a native of Western Canada and learned basic cooking skills as a child from her grandmother. She is a master of high-level cuisine and logistics necessary to be successful in catering with years of experience at the five-star Hotel Savoy in Switzerland and with Jackson and Co. Catering in Houston.

Barbara was with us in Washington DC in 2010 to launch Lets Move's initiative for Chefs. She has served on the Recipe for Success Chef's Advisory Board for ten years during which she has volunteered monthly in our classrooms and helped us raise thousands of dollars at special events.

She was honored as our Chef of the year in 2014. She also gives her time to Entrepreneurs' Organization, Les Dames d'Escoffier International, Chain des Rotisseurs, Diverseworks Art Space, Lawndale Art Center, Houston Symphony, Friends of Nursing at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston Children's Charities, and University of Houston.
