Carolyn D. Roch
Partner, Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem LLP
Carolyn is a native Houstonian, and one of four partners at Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem LLP, practicing commercial, securities and employment litigation. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with Special Honors in English as well as Liberal Arts Honors in 1991. She also received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994.
Carolyn began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, Texas, where she worked to help countless victims of crime. After leaving the District Attorney's office, Carolyn began her civil trial practice for both plaintiffs as well as defendants, individuals and Fortune 500 corporations. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Washington State Bar, the Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association and Federal Bar Association.
Carolyn is the proud mother of the beautiful, redheaded, three year old Maggie Henneman and the wife of fellow trial lawyer Matt Henneman. She grew up watching her community-spirited parents, Lynn and Bill Guggolz, give countless hours of their time to charities across the city. Thus, an understanding of the importance of giving one's time and resources to the community was born.
Carolyn currently serves on the Board of Directors for Houston Achievement Place and was a founding co-chair of the Alley Theatre's young professional group, 1st Act. She is also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. In her free time, Carolyn loves to travel, cook, read, write, garden, and is a self-described political junkie.
