Phil is a professional foodie and General Manager of Central Market in Houston, Texas. Central Market, a division of HEB Grocery Company, is a growing business of eight specialty food stores. Central Market features an amazing assortment of specialty foods, incredible produce, fresh meat and seafood departments, artisan bakery, delicatessen, and cheeses, as well as extensive chef prepared offerings.
A former chef, Phil is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute with a dozen years of hotel, restaurant, and catering experience, including stops in Los Angeles and Boston.
Phil Myers, continued: Recent travels include a tour of Fair Trade coffee producers in Nicaragua in January 2003 and attending food shows and touring food producers in Cologne, Germany in October 2005, Bordeaux and Champagne in 2008, and northern Italy in 2009.
Phil resides in The Woodlands and enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and two daughters, Lena and Hannah. He pursues his passion for food and love of cooking for family and friends; and his love for the game of golf and rooting for the Red Sox.
