Carrie Colbert

Senior Reservoir Engineer, Hilcorp Energy Company

Carrie is a 15-year veteran of the oil and gas industry. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 with a bachelor of science in petroleum enginerring and in 2009 returned to earn her Master of Business in Adminstration degree from UT. Carrie began her career at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where she served in several engineering roles over five years. For the past ten years, Carrie has been with Hilcorp Energy Company, holding various leadership positions on both the technical as well as the finance part of the business, landing in her current position as a senior reservoir engineer. She has played a vital role in the company's aggresive growth in recent years, developing the company's current five-year strategic plan.

A native of Perryton. Texas, Carrie has received many honors including the 2013 Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate by the UT Cockrell School of Engineering. She serves on the UT Petroleum Engineering External Advisory Council, UT Cockrell School of Engineering Executive Advisory Board, is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and is involved in the Houston chapter of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. Carrie's creative pursuits include fashion, photography, travel, and fitness, which among her other philanthropic pursuits, has led her to sponsor the Recipe for Success' Dress for Dinner Season V.
