Are You Interested in Bringing Signature RFS Programming to Your School?
Efforts to expand our programming are being met with great enthusiasm. In the Houston area alone, over 45 campuses have approached RFS about programming opportunities that include both during and after school classes. In response to the local requests, RFS is now providing contract services, on a cost recovery basis, to implement Chefs in Schools™, Recipe Gardens™, Eat This!™ and Kids Dig it!™ after school programming as well as our signature Eat This! Summer Camp™.
RFS has created a model to calculate our program cost estimates, including grants and discounts for students who are economically disadvantaged, so we can respond quickly to your inquiries. If you would like more information, please fill out this form, and Dr. Julie Garza will contact you.
For campuses or communities outside the Greater Houston area, Recipe for Success will host a Summer Seminar in July 2010 that will provide hands-on training in Seed-to-Plate Nutrition EducationTM implementation. During the Summer Seminar, all attendees will receive the Seed-to-Plate Nutrition EducationTM Program Guide, which includes information regarding essential tools and materials; extensive age-appropriate instruction lessons for both cooking and gardening; tips for creating and maintaining an active school wellness committee; and other materials that will help foster a culture of health on your campus. Following the seminar, a subscription-based, online website will be available solely to attendees to provide year-long support, classroom and seasonal tips and newly-developed Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education TM class modules, all to ensure your program's continued success.
